Masterflex® Peristaltic Pump Advantages
The Masterflex® P/S®, I/P®. B/T® and Ponndorf® Peristaltic Pumps have the following
features:
- Can be run dry and are capable of pumping mixed (liquid/vapor) flow.
- Suction lifts up to 28 ft.
- Has no check valves to foul and the only wetted parts are the hose and
connection nozzles.
- Maintenance is done in place and takes anywhere between 10 and 40 minutes
to complete a typical rebuild. This will depend upon the pump model and the
experience level of the technician.
- Are reversible to flow in either direction.
- Extremely low shear pumping.
- Can handle a wide range of viscosities (up to 35,000 cps).
- Can safely generate discharge pressures of 30 to 220 psi depending upon
model and hose/tube material.
- Offered in a broad spectrum of materials. The wetted portion of the pump can be
changed easily and inexpensively in response to new pumping conditons without

- Available with many options including a wide range of control I/O capability,
variable speed drives, leak detectors, no flow detectors, Washdown Duty, X-
Proof Rated, Air Driven, Single and 3-Phase Power, UL, cUL & CE ratings just to
name a few.
- Includes a wide variety of hose/tubing formulations. With elastomers for industrial
services, food grades, and pharmaceutical grades.
